For instance, our very own Drew Tyler Bell from Wooster, Ohio, got his start at Barbizon of Akron and is now living and working in the Los Angeles starring on starring on the popular soap "The Bold & The Beautiful" as well as taking parts in made-for-TV movies, big screen films, and EVEN Broadway. Haley Bennett is another Barbizon success story. Originating in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, Haley has starred in several major motion picutres including: "Music and Lyrics", "Marley and Me", and "College". Of course, Drew and Haley are just a small sample of our successes in the national market. Established in 1939, The Barbizon School has been recognized as a superior educational institution for over half a century providing excellent preparatory training in the areas of modeling, acting, and personal development. Barbizon of Akron graduates have gone on to work as famous fashion models, child models, actors, actresses, and professional business people.
Those who are accepted into Barbizon of Akron's competitive program find a curriculum rich with tools to cultivate poise, attractiveness, grace, self-confidence, and the competitive edge one needs to succeed in today's society, no matter what the personal goal(s). Our professional and high caliber teaching staff has tremendous industry experience, provides individualized attention and valued information to all the students, and have been thoroughly trained in all areas of the classroom experience. We are continually updating all the material taught to our students including: Fashion shows, trade shows, print assignments, and tv commercial work. Upon graduation Agency privileges are granted to those who are interested in working with our commercial Agency Pro Model & Talent Management.
